That's right, ladies and gentlemen, soon we'll make our live debut at Bit Gen 6 in Baltimore! This year's festivities are taking place at the Bourbon Street Ballroom on Guilford, near last year's location (by the now defunct Sonar). There will be two stages packed with badass acts like The Descendants of Erdrick, Random, Bit Brigade, Cheap Dinosaurs, Ice Cap Assault, the X-Hunters, Metroid Metal, Armcannon, The OneUps, Year 200x, Entertainment System, the Protomen, and yours truly! As always there will be video game-inspired art for sale as well as a wall of systems hooked up and ready to play. Ticket prices are TBD, so keep your ears to the ground.
We'll be debuting a LOT of new material, about half the new album, so come listen to the next stage in Random Battles' history!
Also, there's a couple new people joining us. Lauren Anderson (formerly of Gunwife Gone and Dead White Kids) is on keys and Michael Zucker (of This Place is Haunted fame) is shredding it up on guitar. The bassist is TBD (and may be familiar to you already...). See you there, you magnificent bastards!

Pre-Production Has Begun!
The follow up to last summer's 'Masters' EP is officially underway! Our first full album is now in pre-production. We're coming up with some awesome new arrangements from both well known classics and more obscure selections, including one song that technically isn't from a video game (!). Our tones are richer, are drums are bigger, and our scopes are much, much bigger on this one. You can expect surprise guests from some of our friends, too. This is what Random Battles was made for!
In the meantime, be sure to check out our buddies Powerglove's new album, Saturday Morning Apocalypse. Listen as your pleasant childhood memories are slammed against a brick wall and fucked to death with a jackhammer the shape of a lightning bolt.
See ya at MAGFest! (hopefully.)
-RB
Also, we want to thank everyone who's listened to 'Masters'. It's really hard getting your name out there and we are very grateful for all the support we've been getting. Special kudos goes out to Year 200x and The Megas for giving us shout outs. If you haven't yet, buy the record digitally at Bandcamp (a truly wonderful site for bands of all kinds) or order the disc from CD Baby (another great resource). It's also available at Amazon and iTunes. Rock on!

Masters, Our New EP, Is Coming August 14th!
Going to Bit Gen 5 in Baltimore on August 14th? Bring an extra five dollars (or buy Rex a shot), because 'Masters', our debut EP, will be available for mass consumption by our doting listeners and general wellwishers! That's right, folks, the time has come to prove that this is indeed a real project with a real product after all and not some silly pipe dream/mass hallucination between Rex and Andy. The track listing is......!1. Actraiser - Bloodpool/Filmoa
2. Double Dragon - Intro, Mission 1, Mission 2
3. Mega Man 2 - Wily's Theme
4. UN Squadron - Project 4 Fortress, Frontline Base
5. Castlevania - Praying Hands, Evil Gods
You have our personal guarantee that every track is better than the one before it and also just as enjoyable as the one after it, and that they're easily all our personal favorites. So come to the show, rock out with Entertainment System, the Megas, The X Hunters, Year 200x, Ultraball, The OneUps, Powerglove and the Protomen and pick up our record to rock out to on the way home! It's what Jesus would have wanted.

We Did a Thing
That bastard, Dr Wily, put his theme all up on our Myspace. And had he the intelligence, he would have infected our Facebook page with it too. Go listen to it before i mix it again and make it better. You've been warned.

We Do Not Sleep
At least I don't. Insomnia has struck in tandem with a sudden blizzard that has left me stranded and workless with nothing to do but arrange. I expect our first album's worth of noise to be arranged by this weekend, which means I then have to actually learn all 4-12 guitar, bass, piano and synth parts for each song while Andy gets to sit down and hit things.
